Monk W40 Steel Windows



W40 Range Enhanced Performance Purpose Made Windows.

The Monk Metal Windows W40 range of hot rolled steel windows were designed in the 1990’s as a successer to the well established W20 section.

W40 range double glazed windows retains slim sightlines but can accommodate sealed glass units up to 26mm. A 16mm airspace is available which offers improved insulation.

Building Regulations for weathertightness -air infiltration, water penetration and wind loading are all met by the W40 system.

The W40 features dual air seals incorporated in the opening vents which greatly enhance resistance to air and water penetration.

Elaborate composite windows are fashioned using mullions and transoms to join single units together and tubular steel RHS profiles can be added for strength or as a feature.

A complete range of quality ironmongery is available, also purpose made pressed metal sills, flashings and metal faced insulated infil panel can be fitted to the basic panel.

All W40 profiles, including any steel attachments. are hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 (1999) and, where specified, polyester powder coated to BS6497 to a wide range of standard RAL colours.

The W40 range is:

  • Hot dipped galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461
  • Polyester powder coated to BS 6497
  • Double weather stripped
  • Double glazed up to 26mm thick
  • Optional thro the frame trickle ventiliation
